Brown University has traditionally been considered one of the world’s most influential schools. However, they have only began offering distance courses in the last twelve years. Establishing a link with their own substance abuse research center, they created the  CAAS Distance Learning Program.

They have recently expanded their program into a full learning course, offering students the latest information and educational advances in the substance abuse genre. Students can learn all about the basics, and more advanced procedures, of alcohol and drug dependence treatment.

This learning program does not offer specific degrees. However, they are a continuing education course that creates knowledge and accredited hours towards addiction medicine specialties. They now offer physicians from the Alpert School of Medicine the chance to expand their medical knowledge as well, an exciting addition to the program.
